DEFORSA II is made up of two functional units: DEFORSA San Carlos and DEFORSA Caño Benito. DEFORSA San Carlos is located in the municipalities of Ezequiel Zamora (former municipality of San Carlos), Tinaco and Rómulo Gallegos with a total area of 10,742.0 ha. DEFORSA Caño Benito is located in the Pao de San Juan Bautista Municipality with 2,905.0 ha. The area of these functional units is made up of high and low density eucalyptus and corymbias plantations, and plantations under silvopastoral systems (61%), natural forests (more than 25%), as well as natural pastures, lagoons, infrastructure, firebreaks and roads.
